Fourth & Fith Class Maths

For maths this week, I will focus on Master Your Maths week 29.  Each day I will pick a couple of questions and explain them for you as a video on Seesaw.  When you login to Seesaw, go to your folder and you will find a short video each day of how to do some of the questions.  If you are stuck on a particular question just send me a message on Seesaw or an email telling me which question you wish me to go over and I will do it. My email is msfoleyschool@gmail. com

Fourth & Fifth Class English

Continue to read daily in Primary Planet.  The link for the April issue is https://www.theprimaryplanet.ie/teachers/april-resource-pack-issue-51/.  Each day new activities are posted which are based on the April magazine.

Read this comprehension The Great Fire of London and complete the questions in your copies.

Third Class Maths

This week we will revise addition and subtraction with and without regrouping.  There are also some word problems to complete too.  If you want you can email a photo of your work to me or post it on Seesaw for me to correct.  My email is msfoleyschool@gmail.com

Third Class English

For this week I have posted a comprehension activity for you to complete.  It is about Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War.  Perhaps you might be able to look up some more information about Florence Nightingale yourselves this week?  If you do, I would love to hear what you learn.   You can email a picture of your work to me at msfoleyschool@gmail. com, or you can send me a picture of your work on Seesaw.  If you have signed up to Nessy complete some of the activities each day.

First & Second Classes

This week we will work on Magic E words.  In your copies you can match the correct words to the pictures.  Then use each of the words and put them into your own sentences.  If you have signed up to Nessy, complete some of the activities each day.  You can email a picutre of your work to msfoleyschool@gmail. com or upload a picture of it to Seesaw if you wish.

Senior Infants

Tricky Words
This week I would like you to do some revision on your Tricky words.  You can choose some of them and write your own sentences for them.  You could also write them out onto card and play a matching game with them or a word bingo game.

Reading

Continue to do some reading this week also.  The link to the Collins Big Cat readers is posted on the blog.  Follow the instructions outlined and you will be able to choose a title.  Please keep a record of titles read in your reading diaries.

If you are using Nessy, complete some of the activities each day.

If you wish you can take a picture of work and send it to me at msfoleyschool@gmail. com or someone might help to put it on Seesaw.

Seesaw

Seesaw is an e-portfolio which can be used to keep a record of class work.  Some classes already use it in school and are familiar with it.  For some of you, this will be new but it is very easy.  If older brothers or sisters who already use Seesaw know how to use it, perhaps they might help their younger siblings to set it up and explain how to use it.  If parents feel the children can access Seesaw from an Ipad or laptop, an individual access code has been sent to each child.   You will need the latest version of Seesaw if you download it as an app.  This code is valid until June and you can post pictures of your work and doing some writing  for me to look at.  When you download the app, click I'm a student and ender your access code.  This will bring you into my class page.  When you see your name, click on it and you will be able to post your work there.  I will also be able to send you all messages and feedback on your work too!  If there are any problems setting up or using  Seesaw please email me at msfoleyschool@gmail. com.
